AIAK's
particular area of expertise is in the spectrum of the energy
industry. AIAK is a founding member of the International Emission
Trading Association (“IETA”), Geneva Switzerland. Being a
member of IETA, AIAK provides unique expertise in emerging
environmental markets focusing on sustainable and renewable
energy, and the financial solutions thereof.
Advisory services provided by AIAK (and its
strategic partners) include the identification of strategic
business opportunities, investment evaluation and financial
structuring of energy-sector assets. AIAK can also assist
in the preparation of expert evaluation and independently
certified documentation, an essential requirement in the trading
of carbon-based commodities.
AIAK was appointed as a senior advisor to
Malaysia's national oil company, Petronas, and, through its
affiliate Arab Malaysia Bank, acted as the lead manager for
the US$1.5 billion first ever loan syndication, then largest
energy fund raising in ASEAN. Building on its rich history,
AIAK successfully completed a private placement for Canada's
Aurado Energy earlier this year and is currently independent
power, oil, gas and coal producers in Malaysia, Indonesia and
the Philippines.
